This time you play as the 11-years-old Clementine, who, like the other characters, is trying to survive in the world infested by a zombie epidemic. The game mechanics remain the same, focusing on exploration, talking to NPCs, searching for items, and solving puzzles.

The player assumes the role of a character who is trying to survive in a zombie-infested metropolis. The sandbox gameplay of Dying Light is divided into two phases.
