Mario & Luigi: Brothership is the sixth main part of a series of productions on the borderline of RPGs and arcade games, launched in 2003. Unlike the previous installments of the series, created by AlphaDream studio, which existed from 2000-2019, the described title was developed directly by Nintendo, which takes care of the brand.

Storyline

As the title suggests, the main characters of Mario & Luigi Brothership are brothers Mario and Luigi. The protagonists find themselves on a piece of land known as Shipshape, which is part ship and part island, from where they set off on a journey across the vast world of Concordia. Along the way, our protagonists experience a variety of adventures and meet both old friends from the Mushroom Kingdom, such as Peach and Bowser, as well as brand new characters, led by Connie and Snoutlet.

Gameplay

In Mario & Luigi Brothership , we view events from a variety of angles. The adventure leads us through colorful locations, including rainforests and cities teeming with life, while it is driven by tasks given to us by characters we meet along the way.

While completing successive missions and speeding through Concordia, Mario and Luigi must constantly cooperate. For only by acting together can they solve environmental puzzles, as well as face platform challenges requiring dexterity and reflexes.

In addition, enemies regularly stand in their way. Although the combat system implemented in the game is turn-based, it is varied by action elements, thanks to which, in order to launch a powerful attack or perform a dodge, we have to press specific buttons at specific times.
